The first requirement for a world phone is that it will work anywhere in the world and to do that it must be compatible with a network that is available all over the world. Since nowadays there is virtually no price difference for the extra frequency bands, it is only common sense that unless you can only find the features you need in a Tri-band or a Dual Band, and you don't need to use the phone in the countries above mentioned, you restrict your choice of phones to Quad Band Phones.
